We are constantly establishing, maintaining and updating a Quality System that meets the requirements of ASTM and AASHTO standards.

TesTech's quality program, at a minimum, meets the requirements of the following organizations:

  • AASHTO R18, Establishing and Implementing a Quality System for CMT Laboratories.
  • ASTM C1077, Practice for Laboratories Testing Concrete and Concrete Aggregates for Use in Construction and Criteria for Laboratory Evaluation.
  • ASTM D3666, Minimum Requirements for Agencies Testing and Inspection Bituminous Paving Materials.
  • ASTM 3740, Evaluation of Agencies Engaged in the Testing and/or Inspection of Soil and Rock as Used in Engineering Design and Construction.
  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District

TesTech has modern state-of-the-art equipment, and performs testing very closely in accordance with current ASTM and AASHTO procedures and specifications. A series of quality control checks have been developed to assure that test results generated by the laboratory are within known limits of accuracy and precision. One means of performing these quality checks is the participation in AMRL and CCRL proficiency programs. These comparison results are documented as another means of quality assurance, competency, and training.

TesTech has implemented an internal quality system to maintain and assure documented training/competency/review programs for our personnel, who are trained, educated and certified in a variety of areas of expertise. Our technicians hold certifications from NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies), OAA (Ohio Aggregates Association), ODOT (Ohio Department of Transportation), ACI (American Concrete Institute), and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration - Hazardous Materials Safety Training).

Continuing education classes and short courses include the Quality Geotechnical Testing Course, University of Rolla, Missouri, geology classes at local universities, Haz/Mat 40 hour safety and numerous seminars and in-house education.
